Hi,

After reading several posts here I decided to install back up camera for my E46 328i. It's all wired up using relays and works fine usually. However when I start the car and change to reverse gear the screen change but it doesn't show anything, only way to make it work is I have go to the TV menu and then change to reverse gear then camera works. It seems that I need to start the TV to activate the pin 17. Once it's done that, I can see camera picture every time when I change to reverse. But it's really annoying that I have to go to TV menu first every time when I start the car to enable the camera. Any solution for this? I have 1999 E46 with MK3 nav unit and 4:3 screen.
