Subject: Tried loading 29.. no luck

well, I tried loading version 29 but the screen goes blank for a sec then comes up with the "bitte warten" message then goes back to the main screen without loading the software. It will repeat this over and over and not load the software. during this process the cd will eject and then re-feed itself from time to time. I have seen later navis do this when the cdrom is bad. The only thing is my cdrom actually reads the Map CD just not the software CD. I used original BMW nav OS cd not burned copy. Also tried version 17.1 as well with same result. ANy ideas from the gurus here? one thing to mention is that this car came with no Nav. Nav was installed by prior owner and ZCS key was never changed to reflect Nav. I didnt think it mattered for loading OS. Can anyone confirm that? Im timid about coding the navi with Gt1 because I dont want to lose TV feature (im in USA) Also Im having issues getting TV antennas straightened out but I will prob post that in a different thread. Any ideas would be appreciated. Maybe I can try cleaning the laser on the Navi?
thanks
