Subject: Window falling into door - E36

I've got a 95 318ti also and the drivers side window is/was falling in to the door. I did a search and saw a lot of good info on repair (Logun's website was especially helpful) Thanks.

I replaced both white plastic sliders and tested, all seemed ok. I drove around a bit and noticed a window rattle. When I tried the window again, it fell out again. I reseated the arms into the sliders and made sure the left end (back) of the window was back as far as it could go and inside the verticle track inside the door. When testing again I noticed the window sliding forward toward the front of the car so the glass was coming away from the back of the door. I also read about the adjustment bolt and loosened and tried both top end and bottom end adjustment. It did level the window somewhat but when it goes up its still sliding forward. I can move it back and forth by hand (to the left and right) What can I do to solve this? I also noticed a piece of rubber about 8 inched long and 2 or 3 inches wide laying in the bottom of the door. Any idea where this goes and could it be why the window is sliding forward??

Thanks for all your help.
