Subject: Been working on the house, got new glass panels in the new bathroom...

Spent yesterday evening installing the new glass shower panels in the new bathroom. A LOT of measuring as there was no way to lift and test fit the panels before installation (the larger one is over 200 lbs of 3/8ths inch tempered glass!). Other than the baseboard trim, this is the last step in finishing off my new addition before we can move in. My wife and I definitely got tired of lifting the glass into position!

It's been a long year of building this addition ourselves with the help of some friends. But it gives us some actual space (it's a 600 sq.ft. master bedroom/bath suite vs the old 10x12 master bedroom with 4x8 ft "master bathroom" we had before, which I think was a converted walk in closet) along with giving me extra garage space. Whoo hoo!

It helped to do computer renderings of what the finished product would be so that we could get everything finalized and mapped out beforehand. the second page of images has the computer renderings, while the new glass install is at the end (and I apologize for the slightly poor stitched together images of the glass, as I can't get far enough back to take in the whole thing).

It's been a long road to get this little house to where it needs to be, but I love it. Not as fancy as some, but it'll do for me.
