This is just a wrap-up of the massive WEN buffer group buy. As of Friday, they are all in the mail or hand-delivered, and everyone should receive them soon. The folks out west may be a little later in the week. I ended up buying 60 of them, and I only have two left. 54 of the buffers went to folks on the Bimmerboard, and another 4 went to some fellow car enthusiasts outside of our forum. I am not worried about moving the extra two.

The total for each unit came out to just under $30 each. (Great guess, SDMike!) So, everyone is due a $5 refund. In the most excellently cool news, 26 folks on a thread below said that they wish to donate their extra $5 to the Bimmerboard. Therefore, davidc will see a donation on behalf of this group buy coming very soon. Plus, I will do a donation of my own. Finally, since we got so many, the few pennies below $30 paid for my buffer.

I will send around confirmation notes to everyone tonight about the refunds/donations, and maybe a few others will want to donate their extra funds too. This is what Michael on “The Office” would call a “win-win-win.”

In other random commentary, everyone ought to try a Group Buy at least once. It is a fun way to touch base with a lot of enthusiasts, and even meet up with a few in person. This one was far more popular than I would ever have imagined, but it went off without a hitch. Thank you all!
