Subject: Even afte using all three levels of Griot's machine polish,

I still wasn't able to eliminate all of the tiny scratches. I was able to make drastic improvements, however. I suspect that I could eliminate the remaining scratches with enough time and attention using the most aggresive machine polish.

In the Griot's system, they have four levels of machine polish:

#1 most aggressive (for oxidized paint and moderate scratches -- I used a fair amount of this)
#2 mild polish (for scratches and deeper swirl marks -- I used a lot of this)
#3 very mild polish (for swirl marks and light scratches -- I finished up with this)
#4 finest polish (they say it's mostly used for finishing black paint -- I didn't need it)

For especially large scratches, I used 3M Swirl Mark Remover by hand, only because I was afraid of letting my inexperience with the machine polisher get the best of me. All in all, I was amazed at the results because I'm a newbie when it comes to using machine polishers.
