me too, '97 M3. P1xxx codes are manufacturer specific, be sure you are looking at a BMW-specific list for those! http://www.my330i.com/odb2.php decodes P1250 as "Fuel level too low" but I don't know if HIS list is correct. I had the dealer look at my codes recently, they did not mention P1250 but said for the P0455, there is some leak in the EVAP system, which controls fuel vapors from the gas tank. See if there is a box under a dome under your spare tire, that is where the charcoal canister is on my M3. There are a lot of little rubber hoses in this system, any of which could be leaking. The dealer said they hook a smoke machine up to the gas filler neck and fill the system with smoky compressed air, and see where the smoke comes out, and charge $250. I told them no thanks maybe later, and I'm still trying to find the time to look for the leak. Maybe I will try to use just compressed air, and listen for the leak.
