Like to buy one but there is so much difference in the quality of the ones I see that I want to be informed.

The best picture seems to be the Panasonic 42" Plasma for $1400 or so at your local Wal-discounter.

Many of them seem to have a strange bleed, or trail when people walk across the screen, they'll be a faint ghost of them.

Some of them it is difficult to even read text, say the title of a cereal on a box in a commercial.
