The problem I found is that I wanted a specific year, specific color, and specific model - thus I had to go to Chicago to find what I was looking for and have it shipped down ($500). I was working or would have driven it back.

Don't let location limit you on what your friend wants. With a fairly limited number of these cars made (compared to Corolla/Civics/3 series), it's often a long search to find what you want. My hunt was ~6 months.
