Subject: I saw this site before I bought my 750...

while I do sympathize with the guy, his logic is a bit flawed.

Tell me something -- if you get incompetent service, do you blame the people responsible, or do you blame the vehicle for requiring said service?

This guy should have raised hell with the dealer service department (perhaps even including the name of it in his web domain instead of My750il.com). The way it's set up now, someone who puts 750iL into Google will hear about this guy's horror story. Sadly, the story is more about how 'terrible' the car is than about the shoddy treatment he got from his dealer.

The solution is that you go find a competent mechanic while not ruling out raising hell with the dealer who gave you poor service!

As a result, I will say this: I salute anyone on this board who had the courage to buy one of these E32's (be you I-6,V8 or V12 powered) despite this guy's scary experience.

That will do it for my venting.

Thanks fellas

Yes, it's a 1988 750il. Don't make me open this to prove it...Death to censorship! Give me liberty or... give me an unlimited tab at the BMW parts counter! Last 7 digits of VIN number are 2765157'
