Yep, it won't clear the brake booster, that's pretty obvious. I have a car based on the E12 suspension so it's not fair to say that a 351Cleveland ford engine would fit in all E24 cars if I accomplish the swap. The 351 is kinda wide at 27" across, but that's still quite a bit smaller than the 4.0L in my 540i. In fact, that 4.0L is wider than my 514" big block ford (8.4Litres). I fully intend to delete the brake booster on the 635csi and build my own headers.
