Broncho. I maintain my fleet. New cars are interesting. With some effort, I beat the dealer from 39k to 28 for an 06 GMC1500 I liked.
My first house was 32.5 and he was heartbroken when I told him no-sale. 07's just around the corner with variable valve timing, displacement on demand, an no way 1k for Onstar and absolutely no way for $525 chrome tow hooks. You should have seen his face when I told him the Babalonian 20" turbo wheels would have to go, along with the
dealer stickers, the Z71 stickers etc. Priceless. Not nearly as pricesless as the look when I said 'no sell'. What really pissed me was that I knew 7 from GM plus 2.8 gm->dealer. So a 24 quote would have worked and they at (end of 06) still have the holdback and other
secrets. At minimum I got em prepped for 07. I will think a few whiles and probably next week drop a 24 (take or leave) and see what happens. [ hell I can get an 04 same same at 29k miles with 7k warranty for 20- ]. Then again what kind of e32/38 could I drive.
LOTS OF FUN and lots of knowledge, regardless of the outcome.
