this is what I used on the black rubber parts of the door rub strips and bumpers on my e23. It works great, looks great and has lasted nearly three years without any signs of wear.


Dupli-Color Bumper Coating spray can

Rubber bumper and side-trim refinishing photos, 1986 BMW 735i

For the hard black plastic pieces, such as mirror housings, this has worked very well:

And, finally, for the plastic grills, metal door handles, B pillars, etc., I used plain old Rustoleum satin black.
