Subject: Aftermarket Amplification

Bill, If i utilize aftermarket amplification, ie, removal of the stock amp and CDC in favor of a phatbox and separate amps, what Ibus functions will I lose? Will I still have steering wheel control? Also, do you have a PDF of the Traffic Pro owners manual per chance? My E38 is a 10/98 build date 99/740is with DSP and NO navigation.

My optimum setup would be TP with aftermarket amplification, Phatbox using the CD controls and Sirius via the aux input. Phone function is of little importance but I would like to retain steering wheel control for audio. DSP is of little importance as well as i would ditch the controller in favor of a coinbox or perhaps customizing a readout for the Sirius display. Will this setup integrate to my E38 as I described?

Curious, do you have to have the Nav CD in the player when using Nav or is the cd for loading purposes only. Thank you for the info! Have a great day!
