OK, I am a Traffic Pro dealer and if any of you guys follow bimmerforums, we've done group buys there mainly because I am a supporting vendor there (I own a business that does E36 parts.. the E38 guys are here, the E36 guys are there)

I can help set up a group buy on these if you want. Here's the deal on them.

I can save you guys a few dollars on them but they have very little markup. We do GBs on them for $649 shipped and usually sell out in a few days. (We did a GB on them last month and sold 10 units in 2 days. ) This price includes the shipping and the harness, which you will need. We also modify the harness so that it is completely plug and play.

If you are local, instead of free shipping, swing on by our shop in Rahway, NJ and I will install the unit for you at no charge. We also provide installation tech support if needed.

I'm not sure where the $425 came from, I wish I could buy the units that cheap. I do have a wholesale account with Becker of North America and we have sold more BMW 4771 TPs than anyone. I can buy them for about that, without software, antenna or cable. Our cost on these, with software, antenna and harness is well over $500. We don't make much on them, it's more of a "hook up" deal.

The units carry a 2 year warranty and include the latest software. Bear in mind that these units commonly sell used for about $550-600 with the old software.

There are 40 4771s left in the world that are unsold, period. I was planning on doing a GB on them again and these will likely all be gone by the early spring.

I have one installed in my 1997 740iL if anyone wants to see one in action you're more than welcome to. It's a wonderful unit with great sound quality and the nav works great. They are hit or miss with CD Changers. As far as DSP equipped cars go, they lack the ability to adjust DSP settings, but the unit did remember my last DSP settings. It does not work with my early 97's CD Changer but I need to check and see if flipping part of the harness and plugging it in upside down will work. In reality I'm going with factory nav in my 740 and this TP will go in my E34 525i Turbo Wagon project.

These units will also work great with aftermarket amplification but then you lose iBus.

These were a factory option on later E38s, but in reality these were designed for use in the Z3, Z4 and E36. They will work in E32s and E34s, in some cases they may need to be hardwired which they can be.
