The software will be updated in the future. The 4771 shares the same software as the Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Land Rover units as well as the HK aftermarket unit. Thanks to these, we will see maps in the future, like most Navi systems the maps will be in the $150-200 range as they are today (Beware of used units with old software, someone bought a used one for $575 off the forums and needed new software!)

So don't worry, new software should come!
