Buuuuttt, I have customers with Mercedes and they can use their Mercedes 9000 phone in their BMW with all functions and I have seen reports that even the standard CPT9000 from a cell provider will also work in the car, but I have not actually seen it.
The bigger problem is finding a CPT 9000 at a dealer for his carrier as they are getting scarce.
Since the car came with a phone the previous owner should have turned it in with the car, just because it came with a CD changer doesn't mean they can take that too, right?
