hello i just bought a 2000 323ci with an automatic transmission. it has 87,000 miles on the car. I am buying a bentley manual to try to read about how everything works in this car. I want to know why sometime when i put the car in reverse it doesn't work..... the reverse lights come on and the passengers side mirror goes down but the car acts like its in neutral.. the rpms stay at idol. What i did was drove the car down the road in drive with agressive rpms and then stopped and the reverse worked again? it has happened 3 times in the 2 months i have owned it? has anyone had this problem? or know anything about it? i was thinking it might be some sort of sensor, but have not recieved my book to read about the tranny. this is all new to me. thanx guys hope u can help me
