Subject: I guess I've narrowed it down... maybe?

I was going by the Bentley and it didn't give much indication as to any other reason for the ABS light to come on except for bad sensors of dirty pulse wheels. Do you know of any other reason the light would come on once I pull off? The light is off when I crank and back up, but as soon as I move about 20 feet forward the light comes on and stays on. The light came on intermittently at first, but comes on every time now.

It has just now started to get colder where I live (Gulf Coast) and it seems this year the change it temp is causing all kind of gremlins on my e28. The water pump (which I've already replaced) and the ABS light problem all started on the first day the temperature cooled. Now I am having idle & drivability problems until the car warms up, but that is for another posting if I can't figure out the problem this weekend. :-)

Let me know if you think of anything with the ABS. My next course of action was to get new sensors until I figure out which one it is. Too bad the e23 doesn't use the same sensor. At least the front sensors are the same, but there is a different one for the left and right rear. Thanks for the help.
