for electrical pulses, most say use an oscilloscope. The illumination of the abs light is an indication of the problem. No pulses cause illumination on take-off. Bad pulses cause the light to comeon at high speed (65-80 or so). Light on from start up means either low voltage to the system (other lights will be on too) or bad system check (computer, relay etc).

So have you narrowed it down to the sensors and pulse wheels?
