Subject: Warranties and examples

Do any of them offer warranties of any kind? Wether it be the clearcoat, sunfading, rust protection....

Have you been able to see any examples of what these places have done other then pictures?

When I went into Gold Star, he had about 3 cars there that he very apparently had just finished. They looked incredible. Even though he knew that we were in no way going to be an immediate customer, he stayed after normal hours one day and told us stories, showed us photo albums of cars he's done and took us through his detailed process of what paints and processes he uses specificaly for European cars, especially BMWs. Hopefully he told you that he doesn't use just any old Maacco type paint? It was right before back to the 50's or 60's or some show, so he had a lot of oldies sitting in there needing to be dried by the opeining day of the show. He told us where to find all of the cars that he did and to talk to the owners at the car show about the paint job. I went out and bought a car the weekend of the show so I never got to do that. I could just tell that he had a great work ethic and was an all around good guy.

I hope this is the guy who still works there.....$3500 seems like a lot...but then when you don't have any money, the $2000 bill looks high. Hopefully someone else here can speak for one of the other places you have gone to and can help you out better. I can speak for only one, and I think that bill is so-so, right in the middle like you found it to be.

Steve
